Rich, what do you think about this? To me, this is a disaster of the first order, FAR WORSE than the Notre Shame fiasco.

Why? Because there will be pictures taken of the two of them together, and those pictures, by themselves, will graphically symbolize [to the general culture, not to us] that the Pope approves of The Wun’s policy of unlimited babykilling.

Let me underline this: it will be THE IMAGE of the two of them together, as such, which will be the most damaging. The chief representatives of the Culture of Life and the Culture of Death "in dialogue." And we all know what "in dialogue" means: If the Pope is seen talking to him, it means he approves of The Wun and all that he stands for. Again, it's THE IMAGE that counts here.

UNLESS the Holy Father “gets all up in his face” and really Preaches It to The Wun. IN PUBLIC. Private remarks don’t count. Neither does diplomatic nice-talk like “the two sides had a frank and forthright discussion of current disagreements.” Not gonna work. Meaningliess.

It needs to be something like, “Your policy of unlimited babykilling, Mr. Obama, is the epitome of the Reign of Evil. Repent now, or you will be show in the next life the same mercy you showed to fifty million unborn dead, and counting.” In other words, the Regensburg address on plutonium steroids.

The words have to out-flood the graphic symbolism of the two of them together; if they don’t, the Wun has won.

Remember how the Vatican prevented any pictures of the Pelosi visit earlier this year? Same dynamic at work here, only much much bigger.

The Ark of the Convenant is finally going to be revealed pretty soon as well. (See Roch. Catholic)

Think there is some significance to these two events?

Of course HH should meet with the President - just like any other world leader. The issue is what will be the conversation and joint statements. For that we have to wait.

The hope is that the Pope releases a Nancy Pelosi statement after the meeting to let the world know the conflict between Catholics and other true pro life people of faith and the leader of the group that is pro abortion and killing babies who happen to survive the abortion.

This could be a teaching moment for the Pope or a leader who lets the confusion in the Catholic Church continue.
