Dave Ramsey

I'm watching his show on the Fox Business channel, and it's wonderful. He fields calls from confused but generally good-natured people about their financial woes, and dispenses sensible advice with a firm but folksy delivery -- you want to "throw another log on the fire" while watching him. Along the way, he interviews other business experts and recommends books and resources on a variety of topics of interest to his viewers. I've heard a lot about Ramsey, but this is my first experience with him. It's easy to see why he's so popular.

Rich,

I have been a Dave Ramsey fan for years. His books are great - readable and common sense filled. They are readable by high schoolers. My son began reading his books as a freshmen. He 'gets' it!

He is horrified by debt and saves. I knew it had stuck when 4 years ago he was researching colleges and saw the difference in price between in state and out of state as well as public vs private and said 'That's stupid and not worth the money. I can go in state and public and have no debt when I get out of school.'

I HIGHLY recommend the books - you're oldest would find them a good read.
